Camp Lightbulb at Models of Pride

What is Models of Pride?

Models of Pride is the world’s largest free youth conference aimed toward LGBTQ+ youth. The conference is organized by the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center, and it will be returning on October 22, 2022, for its 30th anniversary. Models of Pride will include a wide range of workshops and resources for youth, parents, and professionals, as well as a variety of fun games and entertainment.

Who will be at Models of Pride?

Saturday’s conference will have a celebratory music festival hosted by Mayhem Miller of Rupaul’s Drag Race with performances by some of Los Angeles’s fiercest drag queens. In addition, attendees will be treated to live performances by The Voice finalist, Hailey Mia, and rapper and LGBTQ+ ally Mike Xavier. The conference will also include youth workshops that include topics such as education and sexual health. Brendan Jordan, a fabulous social media influencer and past guest at Camp Lightbulb will lead a very special workshop titled, “Unleash Your Inner Queen.” Lastly, drag icon, Trixie Mattel will be honored with the Models of Pride award.

Why will Camp Lightbulb be at Models of Pride?

Camp Lightbulb will be in attendance because we believe in supporting LGBTQ+ youth in any way that we can. This conference will provide us with information, tools, and resources to better serve our campers. By staying informed about the ever-changing experiences of LGBTQ+ youth, we can ensure that we are providing the safest, most nurturing spaces at our camps.
